Mexican cinnamon tea sweetened with honey, sugar, or piloncillo, and a hint of lemon juice, optionally spiked with pure cane alcohol for a boozy kick.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 Ceylon cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
  • Choice of sweetener
Instructions:
  • In a pot, combine water and cinnamon sticks, bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the tea and pour into a cup. Sweeten and add lemon juice to taste.
