Delicious chocolate banana baked treats.
Ingredients:
  • Melted butter, for greasing
  • 300g (2 cups) self-raising flour
  • 24.00 gm icing sugar
  • 80g butter, chilled, cubed
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) milk
  • 2 ripe bananas, finely chopped
  • 50g dark chocolate, grated
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 210°C, then use the melted butter to lightly grease a large baking tray.
  • In a large bowl, sift the flour and icing sugar. Use your fingertips to rub in the butter until the mixture looks like fine breadcrumbs. Create a well in the center, then add the milk. Use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to mix until the dough just comes together.
  • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead until it's smooth. Roll the dough into a 25 x 35cm rectangle. Sprinkle evenly with bananas and chocolate. Roll the dough tightly starting from a long side. Trim and discard the ends.
  • Cut the roll into 3cm thick slices. Arrange the slices, cut-side up, closely together on the greased tray. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool.
