Ginger and garlic infused sweet soy sauce for flavorful teriyaki chicken.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut in half
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
  • Wash chicken halves and gently dry with paper towels. Arrange chicken cut side down in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Mix sugar, soy sauce, grated ginger, and garlic in a medium bowl until well combined. Pour over chicken, cover, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Roast the chicken uncovered in a preheated oven for 1 hour, basting regularly. Check for doneness by ensuring there is no pink in the meat. Allow to cool briefly before cutting into smaller pieces for serving.
