Try succulent Thai-grilled beef with a zesty homemade dipping sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 48.80 gm fish sauce
  • 4.00 gm brown sugar
  • 600g Beef Fillet Steak
  • 80g bean sprout
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, cut into ribbons
  • 2 carrots, cut into ribbons
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
  • 40.00 ml roasted peanuts
  • Coriander leaves, to serve
  • Red chilli, finely chopped, to serve
  • Red onion, Finely chopped, to serve
  • 42.00 gm lime juice
  • 18.30 gm fish sauce
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 small red chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 coriander roots, finely chopped
  • 40.00 ml coriander, finely chopped
  • 8.00 gm brown sugar
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix fish sauce and sugar. Add beef and toss to coat evenly. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat a barbecue flat plate or chargrill over medium-high heat. Grill beef for 3 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Place on a plate, cover with foil, and let it rest for 5 minutes before thinly slicing.
  • Prepare the zesty dipping sauce by mixing lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce, onion, chili, coriander root, chopped coriander, and sugar in a small bowl.
  • Combine beef, bean sprouts, cucumber, and carrot in a large bowl. Mix well. Distribute rice and beef mixture onto serving plates. Top with peanuts, coriander leaves, chili, and onion. Drizzle with some dipping sauce before serving. Provide extra sauce on the side.
