"Create a refreshing green salad with Bosc pears, perfect for cozy fall and winter gatherings."
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, torn
  • 1 head butter lettuce, torn
  • 2 bunches fresh spinach leaves
  • 2 pears, cored and sliced
  • 1 (4 ounce) package feta cheese
Instructions:
  • Combine the vinegar, oil, onion, sugar, salt, hot sauce, and pepper in a bowl. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Toast the walnuts in a skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until lightly browned.
  • Combine walnuts, romaine lettuce, butter lettuce, spinach, and pears in a large bowl. Drizzle dressing over the salad and gently mix to coat. Finish with a sprinkle of feta cheese before serving.
