Try this mouthwatering TikTok baked spaghetti recipe, a delicious fusion of marinara and creamy cheese sauce for the ultimate comforting pasta dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 1.75 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced, divided
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef or a mixture of pork, veal, and beef (meat-loaf mix)
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil, plus more for garnish
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 2.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • crushed red pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté onion with 1/4 teaspoon of salt until softened, about 4 minutes. Stir in Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon of garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add ground meat mix and 1 teaspoon of salt, stirring occasionally until well browned and cooked through, about 6 to 8 minutes. Mix in marinara sauce and basil, cooking until warmed through, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a gentle boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente, about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and set aside.
  • Next, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the remaining 2 teaspoons of garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking often, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 8 to 10 minutes. Take the saucepan off the heat and gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Pour the pasta and cream mixture into a greased 13x9 baking dish. Gently mix everything together. Spread the meat sauce evenly over the pasta and then sprinkle with mozzarella and crushed red pepper, if desired.
  • Place in a piping hot oven until the mozzarella is lightly golden and bubbly, which should take around 25 minutes. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
