Pecan butter: Toasty, sweet spread for French toast, pancakes, waffles, and more.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.25 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Spread pecans on a baking sheet and toast in the oven until golden and fragrant, about 15 minutes. Keep a close eye on them as they can burn easily. Let them cool to room temperature.
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in a food processor until mixture is smooth and butter is slightly fluffy. Add cooled nuts and pulse to combine. For finer texture, pulse a few more times. Serve right away or refrigerate in a jar.
