Toffee: a versatile treat for all ages, ready to be shattered, spun, or dipped for endless kitchen fun.
Ingredients:
  • 215g (1 cup) caster sugar
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) water
Instructions:
  • Gently heat water and sugar in a saucepan until the sugar completely dissolves. Ensure not to boil until all the sugar has dissolved.
  • Turn up the heat to high. Use a wet pastry brush to dissolve any remaining sugar on the sides of the pan. Allow the mixture to come to a boil.
  • Cook the mixture until it reaches a rich golden color, being careful not to let it burn. Remove from heat as the residual heat will continue to color the toffee.
