Savory stir-fry with pork, tofu, peas, and green onions served over fluffy rice.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas
  • 1 (1 pound) package soft tofu, drained and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground white pepper
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté green onion, garlic, and ginger in oil until fragrant, for about 1 minute. Add ground pork, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Stir in soy sauce and cook until pork is browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Mix in peas until softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Gently fold in tofu and cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
  • Combine water, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and white pepper in a bowl and gently incorporate into the pork and tofu. Simmer until the sauce thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
