Elevate your pasta bake with a unique twist, quick and timeless recipe. Pair with fresh bread and salad for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package rotini pasta
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped bacon
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 0.5 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil with a pinch of salt. Add rotini pasta and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the pasta.
  • In a large saucepan or skillet, heat oil and cook onion, bacon, salt, and pepper until bacon is crispy and onion is soft. Drain excess fat. Stir in tomato soup and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, add 1 cup of Cheddar cheese and milk, stirring until the cheese is melted.
  • Preheat the broiler with the oven rack positioned 6 inches below the heat source.
  • Mix sauce with pasta in a baking dish, top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese, and broil in the oven until the sauce thickens and the cheese is golden brown, about 3 to 5 minutes.
