Elevate your Margaritas with homemade syrup and sour mix for a top-shelf twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 2.25 cups water
  • 1.5 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 2 cups premium tequila
  • 1 cup Cointreau
  • 0.5 cup lime juice
  • 16 lime wedges
  • coarse kosher salt
Instructions:
  • Prepare a luscious simple syrup by boiling 2/3 cup of sugar with 1/3 cup of water until the sugar completely dissolves; allow it to cool.
  • Prepare the sour mix by vigorously combining 2 1/4 cups of water, lemon juice, 1/4 cup of sugar, and egg white; then, set it aside.
  • In a pitcher, mix together the ice cubes, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, 1 ounce of simple syrup, and 1/2 cup of sour mix; stir briskly for 8 to 15 seconds to infuse the flavors.
  • Rim an 8-ounce glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim in kosher salt on a plate, coat well, and add ice if desired. Strain the cocktail into the glass and serve.
