Indulge in these decadent triple nut bars featuring walnuts, almonds, and pecans - a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup walnut pieces
  • 1 cup unblanched or blanched whole almonds
  • 1 cup pecan halves
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on medium-low speed to blend 3/4 cup butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and almond extract. Gradually beat in flour until a soft dough forms. Press dough evenly into an ungreased 13x9-inch pan. Bake for 17 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, simmer butter, brown sugar, honey, corn syrup, and vanilla over medium-high heat for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring often until it reaches a full boil. Let it boil for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring, then take it off the heat.
  • Spread a mixture of walnuts, almonds, and pecans over the crust. Drizzle the brown sugar mixture over the nuts. Bake for an additional 13 to 15 minutes, until the top is bubbly. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour. Cut into 6 rows by 6 rows to make bars.
