Turkey bacon and ground turkey meatloaf with bacon cheeseburger flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 7 slices turkey bacon, or more to taste
  • 1 pound extra lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 small onion, diced
  • 1 slice French bread, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, or more to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
  • 1.5 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect bake.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sizzle the turkey bacon in vegetable oil until each side turns golden and crispy, around 5 minutes per side. Once done, drain on paper towels and crumble the bacon when it has cooled down a bit.
  • Combine ground turkey, Cheddar, egg, onion, crumbled French bread, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, pepper, and bacon until thoroughly mixed. Form into a loaf at the center of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar until sugar dissolves, then top the turkey loaf.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until fully cooked, 45 to 60 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
