Irresistible slow-cooked turkey chili topped with melted cheese - a guaranteed hit for all ages!
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 2 (1.25 ounce) packages chili seasoning mix
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup prepared yellow mustard
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a spacious nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground turkey. Saute until the turkey is crumbly, uniformly browned, and cooked through. Transfer the cooked turkey, kidney beans, and diced onion to a slow cooker; combine thoroughly.
  • In a skillet, mix together tomato sauce, fire roasted tomatoes, chili seasoning, ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Simmer until combined. Transfer sauce to the slow cooker with the meat mixture. Cook on High for 20 minutes. Serve sprinkled with shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese.
