Make ahead and freeze meatballs, then reheat in sauce for party day.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 pounds ground turkey
  • 0.25 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 cup canned jellied cranberry sauce
  • 0.5 cup orange marmalade
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon minced jalapeno pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced Fresno pepper
Instructions:
  • Combine the turkey, poultry seasoning, garlic salt, onion powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Add the egg, milk, and bread crumbs, and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Roll turkey mixture into one-tablespoon-sized balls and place them in the skillet in a single layer. Brown meatballs evenly on all sides, flipping occasionally. Transfer the browned meatballs to a clean baking sheet and set aside.
  • In the skillet used to cook the meatballs, blend cranberry sauce, marmalade, and chicken broth over medium heat. Add jalapeno and Fresno peppers, then place the meatballs back in the skillet. Simmer over medium-low heat until meatballs are cooked through and the glaze thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
