Tender turkey thighs seared & simmered in creamy mushroom sherry sauce, served over fluffy rice.
Ingredients:
  • 2 turkey thighs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried parsley
Instructions:
  • Pat dry the turkey thighs with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper. Combine flour and poultry seasoning in a shallow bowl.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Coat turkey thighs with seasoned flour, shake off excess, then brown in the hot oil for about 5 minutes per side.
  • Combine and sauté the onion, mushrooms, and garlic until mushrooms release their juices and onions turn translucent. In a separate bowl, mix chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and sherry with oregano, parsley, and garlic powder. Pour mixture over turkey thighs, cover, and simmer on medium-low heat for about 30 minutes until turkey is fully cooked. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Slice the turkey thighs and serve with the decadent sauce.
