Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup uncooked wild rice, rinsed and drained
  • 1 medium butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 1/4 pounds turkey breast tenderloins
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
Instructions:
  • In a 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, layer wild rice, squash, onion, and turkey. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Drizzle the aromatic chicken broth over the ingredients, cover, and let it simmer on low heat for 7 to 9 hours until the rice is perfectly tender. Gently fold in the sweet cranberries for a delightful touch.
