Elevate your holiday table with this bacon-infused side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 6 slices Smithfield® Hometown Original Bacon, cooked
  • 6 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, divided
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 tablespoons marshmallow creme
Instructions:
  • Roast sweet potatoes at 350 degrees F for 40-50 minutes.
  • Trim the top one-third of the potato and carefully remove the inner flesh, ensuring to leave a 1/4 inch layer inside the shell.
  • Combine the potato with rich butter, velvety cream, 2 tablespoons of indulgent brown sugar, a hint of nutmeg, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper, then carefully spoon the mixture back into the reserved potato shells.
  • Place a strip of bacon cut into pieces on top of each, spoon 1 tablespoon of marshmallow creme over the bacon, and finish by sprinkling all with the remaining brown sugar.
  • Broil for 3-5 minutes until the marshmallow creme is golden brown and toasty.
  • Serve steaming hot!
