Refreshing Tzatziki dip made with yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, dill, and lemon juice, perfect for pairing with veggies or pita bread.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) container low-fat plain yogurt
  • 1 cucumber - peeled, seeded, and grated
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare a double layer of cheesecloth in a colander set over a bowl. Spread the yogurt on the cheesecloth and cover the colander with plastic wrap. Let the yogurt drain for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Drain grated cucumber in a fine mesh strainer for 1 to 2 hours to remove excess moisture.
  • Combine creamy yogurt, refreshing cucumber, aromatic dill, zesty lemon juice, pungent garlic, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper in a bowl. Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours to allow the flavors to harmonize.
