Treat your Valentine to delicious French toast topped with strawberries and bananas for a memorable morning surprise!
Ingredients:
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk, or to taste
  • 3 dashes ground nutmeg, or to taste
  • 2 dashes ground cinnamon, or to taste
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or to taste
  • 1 banana, or more to taste, sliced
  • 6 strawberries, or more to taste, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, or to taste, warmed
  • 0.5 teaspoon confectioners' sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl until mixture is smooth.
  • Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • Coat a bread slice in the egg mixture until fully covered, then place it in the hot skillet. Cook until both sides are golden brown, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Repeat this process with the remaining bread slices.
  • Arrange the French toast slices on 2 plates, cutting each slice in half diagonally. Place banana and strawberry slices around the French toast. Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
