Valentine's Day sugar cookies inspired by conversation hearts to show your love!
Ingredients:
  • Reynolds® Parchment Paper
  • 0.66666668653488 cup butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (16 ounce) can vanilla frosting
  • Food coloring
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and prepare two cookie sheets with Reynolds® Parchment Paper.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium to high speed to beat the butter for 30 seconds until creamy. Add sugar, baking powder, and salt, and continue to beat until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla. Gradually add the flour in batches, beating until well combined. Use a wooden spoon to stir in any remaining flour. Divide the dough in half, cover, and chill for about 30 minutes until it's easy to handle.
  • Take half of the dough and roll it out between two sheets of parchment paper until it is 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick. Use a 2 1/2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the shapes. Repeat with the remaining dough as needed. Arrange the shapes 1 inch apart on the baking sheets.
  • Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until edges are firm and bottoms are light brown. Cool baked cookies on wire racks, then transfer to a work surface by sliding the parchment paper.
  • Customize frosting with food coloring as desired. Spread one color on cookies and use a different color to write a message on top.
