Indulge in warm baked berry crumble for a blissful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 3 x 250g punnets strawberries, washed, hulled, halved
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • Vanilla ice-cream or double cream, to serve
  • 115g (3/4 cup) plain flour
  • 100g chilled butter, chopped
  • 100g (1/2 cup) firmly packed brown sugar
  • 45g (1/4 cup) macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 45g (1/4 cup) dry-roasted hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 25g (1/4 cup) flaked almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C, then mix together the strawberries, honey, and vanilla in a bowl.
  • Prepare the nut crumble by combining flour and butter in a large bowl, using your fingertips to create a coarse breadcrumb texture. Then, add sugar, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, and almonds, stirring them in until well mixed.
  • Spoon the strawberry mixture evenly into six 250ml (1-cup) ovenproof dishes.
  • Top the nut crumble mixture evenly over the strawberries. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the crumble turns a beautiful golden brown and the strawberries are perfectly tender. Enjoy your dessert with a side of luscious ice cream or double cream.
