Jumpstart your holiday shopping by creating these adorable sweet star cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 250g butter, at room temperature
  • 125g (3/4 cup) icing sugar mixture
  • 8.80 gm vanilla extract
  • 300g (2 cups) plain flour
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 60g (1/4 cup) raw sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C and line 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper. In a bowl, use an electric beater to mix butter, icing sugar, and vanilla until pale and creamy.
  • Mix the flour and cinnamon into the dough until well combined. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it until it's smooth. Shape it into a disc, wrap it in plastic, and chill in the fridge for 15 minutes to rest.
  • Flatten the dough between 2 sheets of non-stick baking paper to a thickness of 5mm. Use a 5cm-diameter star-shaped pastry cutter to cut out 65 stars. Arrange them on lined trays and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle biscuits with sugar, bake for 12-15 minutes, swapping trays halfway, until golden. Let them cool on the trays for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
