Succulent veal steaks with zesty lemon caper sauce ready in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 4 (125g each) veal steaks, pounded, halved crossways
  • 40.00 ml drained baby capers
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 125.00 gm dry white wine
  • 31.50 gm lemon juice
  • 30.60 gm salt reduced chicken style liquid stock
  • 2.50 gm cornflour
  • 63.13 gm extra-light thickened cream
Instructions:
  • In a hot pan, sear veal in oil for 1 minute per side, or to desired doneness. Rest on a plate, covered, to stay warm.
  • In a pan, sauté capers and garlic for 30 seconds. Increase heat to high, pour in wine, and cook until liquid reduces by half, about 1 minute. Add lemon juice and stock, then simmer on low for 3 minutes. In a bowl, mix cornflour and cream. Remove pan from heat, stir in cornflour mixture, and simmer on low, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Plate the veal and generously spoon the zesty lemon mixture over it. Accompany with a side of deliciously cooked vegetables.
