Indulge in a delectable vegan chocolate pie featuring a gluten-free crust and luscious banana filling, perfect for all dietary preferences.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 2.5 cups dates, pitted and roughly chopped
  • 0.25 cup water, or as needed
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 6 medium bananas
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup vegan chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • To make the pie crust, pulse almonds in a food processor until coarsely ground. Add dates and pulse until combined. Slowly pour water, one tablespoon at a time, while the processor is running, until dough forms. Stir in cocoa powder and salt.
  • Evenly press the almond crust mixture into the base of a 10-inch springform cake pan and chill in the freezer while you make the filling.
  • In a food processor, blend together bananas, cocoa powder, cardamom, and salt until you have a thick, well-combined mixture.
  • Cover the pie crust with the filling and generously sprinkle with chocolate chips. Chill in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight until ready to slice and serve.
