Very Personal Bolognese Sauce

Tangy, spicy bolognese sauce with Worcestershire and harissa, finished with creamy mascarpone. Serve over pasta with Parmesan.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon harissa
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pressed garlic
  • 1 tablespoon mascarpone cheese
  • 1 pinch dried basil
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble the ground beef. Cook with onions until no longer pink, breaking up large chunks. Drain excess grease. Add tomato paste, harissa, and Worcestershire sauce; mix well. Stir in tomato sauce and garlic. Reduce heat, simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese and let it simmer for an additional 15 minutes before taking it off the heat. Finish by seasoning with dried basil.
