Elevate sliced beef sirloin tips and green beans with vibrant Thai basil, mint, cilantro, and zesty lime juice for a burst of fresh flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger root, minced
  • 0.25 cup fish sauce
  • 0.25 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 dash sesame oil
  • 2 pounds sirloin tip, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups frozen whole green beans, partially thawed
  • 0.5 cup reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Thai basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
  • Combine olive oil, 4 cloves of garlic, ginger, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag. Add beef sirloin tip, coat with marinade, remove air, and seal. Marinate in the fridge for 2 hours. Remove beef from the marinade, shake off excess, and discard marinade.
  • Begin by heating vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Transfer the beef to a plate and set aside. Reduce heat to medium and add more oil if needed. Sauté garlic, green onion, and onion until softened, about 5 minutes. Add green beans, beef broth, lime juice, basil, mint, red pepper flakes, and pepper. Return the beef to the skillet and toss to combine. Remove from heat and mix in cilantro.
