Virginia Eggnog

Try Virginia eggnog with added whisky and rum for a festive, boozy twist on the classic holiday drink.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar, or more to taste
  • 10 eggs, divided
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 quart heavy whipping cream
  • 0.25 cup rum
  • 0.25 cup whisky
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the sugar and egg yolks until they are very light in color. Add in the milk and cream and mix until well combined.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, adding more sugar as desired. Gently fold the egg whites into the milk mixture until the eggnog is smooth. Stir in rum and whiskey. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
