Family-Favorite Bean and Bratwurst Stew: A hearty, comforting soup filled with beloved ingredients enjoyed year-round by the whole family.
Ingredients:
  • 6 bratwursts, chopped
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans chicken stock
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1.5 cups sauerkraut
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can navy beans, drained
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Add the bratwursts, carrots, and onion to the slow cooker, followed by the chicken stock and beef broth. Stir in the sauerkraut, pinto beans, kidney beans, navy beans, basil, parsley, and salt.
  • Cook on High for 4 hours while flavors meld and intensify.
