Irresistible whipped vanilla frosting adds a sweet touch to cakes and cupcakes.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) cold full fat cream cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups cold heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup (115 grams) powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Cut the cream cheese into 1/2-inch chunks and place it in the stand mixer or a large mixing bowl with beaters.
  • Beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy: Beat the cream cheese on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes, ensuring to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl regularly to eliminate any lumps, particularly when using a hand mixer.
  • Slowly drizzle in the heavy cream while mixing on low speed until fully incorporated, stopping to scrape down the sides to ensure thorough mixing.
  • Switch to the whisk attachment and whip the frosting: When the mixture thickens, replace the paddle attachment with the wire whisk attachment. Whip the cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form and visible tracks appear in the bowl from the wire whisk.
  • Add sifted powdered sugar and vanilla into the whipped cream while continuing to mix on medium-low speed until stiff peaks form. For more control, you can hand-whip the cream with a balloon whisk.
  • Enjoy your freshly made frosting right away or store it in the refrigerator in a sealed container and consume within 3 days.
