Cream cheese melted on pizza crust creates a tender base with a creamy sauce for caramelized onions and toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced, separated into rings
  • 1 pound frozen pizza dough, thawed
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 4 ounces PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 0.75 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 0.5 cup DIGIORNO Grated Romano Cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onions in 1 tablespoon of oil for 15 to 20 minutes until tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  • On a lightly floured baking sheet, stretch the pizza dough to fit a 16 x 12-inch baking sheet. Combine garlic and remaining oil, then spread onto the dough. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Evenly spread the creamy cream cheese over the crust, then layer on the remaining cheeses, onions, and red pepper. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is beautifully golden brown.
