Creamy sweet and white potato mash with a hint of sweetness from brown sugar and warming spices.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 0.75 cup milk, warmed
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1.5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon allspice
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, mix russet potatoes and sweet potatoes. Add enough water to cover the potatoes and include chicken bouillon. Bring to a boil, then simmer on medium-low heat until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain excess water when cooked.
  • Combine drained potatoes in a large bowl with milk, butter, brown sugar, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Mash or blend until smooth and creamy to your liking.
