Decadent chocolate-almond sauce elevates any dessert in just 15 minutes with 5 simple ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup whipping (heavy) cream
  • 1 package (12 ounces) white baking chips (2 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon amaretto or 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Dash of salt
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, cook butter and almonds for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring often, until almonds are a beautiful medium brown color. Take the pan off the heat.
  • Blend the whipping cream until smooth, being careful of spattering. Add the white baking chips and melt them over low heat, stirring often.
  • Incorporate the fragrant amaretto and a pinch of salt. Serve chilled or warm, stirring once more before presentation. Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks to maintain freshness.
