White Christmas hot chocolate

Indulgent white hot chocolate infused with cinnamon, cloves, and orange for a festive twist.
Ingredients:
  • 250ml (1 cup) thickened cream
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 x 7cm cinnamon sticks
  • 1.5L (6 cups) milk
  • 300g white chocolate, coarsely grated
  • 3 oranges, thinly sliced
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) Grand Marnier liqueur
  • Coarsely grated white chocolate, extra, to serve
  • Orange zest, to serve
Instructions:
  • Whisk the cream in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Crush the cloves and cinnamon in a mortar using a pestle until lightly crushed. Alternatively, crush them in a bowl using the end of a rolling pin.
  • In a large saucepan over low heat, combine the cinnamon mixture, milk, chocolate, orange, and nutmeg. Stir and cook until just boiling, about 3 minutes.
  • Froth the milk mixture with a milk frother or balloon whisk. Pour the divided mixture and Grand Marnier into heatproof glasses or coffee cups. Garnish with cream, extra chocolate, and orange rind. Serve right away.
