Make these easy White Lily biscuits with only 4 ingredients for a quick and fluffy treat. Ready in a flash!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups White Lily® Enriched Bleached Self-Rising Flour or White Lily® Enriched Unbleached Self-Rising Flour
  • 0.25 cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 0.75 cup buttermilk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a piping hot 475 degrees F (245 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour and shortening until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs. Use a fork to gently stir in the buttermilk until just combined.
  • Place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it 5 to 6 times until smooth. Roll dough into a 7-inch circle, 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Use a 2-inch biscuit cutter dipped in flour to cut out biscuits. Re-roll scraps, pat into a ball, and cut out more biscuits.
  • Place the biscuits on a baking sheet, leaving a 1-inch space between each one. To achieve a softer texture, position the biscuits close together so the edges nearly touch.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Brush the top with butter after removing from the oven.
