White sangria

Fruity, fizzy punch - a light, refreshing twist on red sangria.
Ingredients:
  • 55g (1/4 cup) caster sugar
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) Cointreau liqueur
  • 1 red apple, halved, cored, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, halved lengthways, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, halved lengthways, thinly sliced
  • 750ml btl white wine
  • Ice cubes, to serve
  • Soda water, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar, water, and cinnamon in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute, then let cool.
  • In a large jug, mix together the sugar syrup, Cointreau, apple, orange, lemon, wine, and ice. Finish by adding soda water on top.
