Fiber-rich whole grain spaghetti in a delicious pasta dish.
Ingredients:
  • 350g Whole Grain Spaghetti
  • 1/2 jar Sundried Tomato Pesto
  • 200g tuna, tinned in oil or fresh
  • 82.50 ml of capers
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 bunch of parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 glass white wine, dry
  • 20.00 ml dried chilli or 1 small fresh chilli
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Rock salt, for pasta water
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, bring plenty of water to a vigorous boil, then sprinkle in 7g of rock salt for every litre of water.
  • Add the Barilla Whole Grain Spaghetti to the boiling water and stir. Cook as directed on the package.
  • Heat a small amount of oil in a large fry pan. Sauté the red onion until almost caramelized for about 3 minutes. Then, add the garlic and chili and continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
  • Cook the tuna and capers together for 2 minutes until fragrant, then pour in the wine and let it simmer until the alcohol evaporates.
  • Remove the pasta from the water a minute early and mix it with the sauce, adding ½ cup of cooking water to finish cooking together in the pan.
  • Take off the heat and mix in the Barilla Sundried Tomato Pesto.
  • Finish with a luxurious drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive oil and a generous sprinkle of fresh parsley.
