Upgrade your banana cake with the wholesome goodness of wholemeal flour!
Ingredients:
  • 40.00 gm margarine
  • 41.20 gm milk
  • 160g (3/4 cup) raw sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 240g (1 1/2 cups) plain wholemeal flour
  • 12.00 gm baking powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  • Prepare the loaf tin by lightly greasing a 15 x 23cm pan.
  • Use an electric beater to blend margarine and raw sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and mashed bananas until fully incorporated.
  • Gently fold wholemeal plain flour and baking powder into the banana mixture, then add milk and fold to combine.
  • Transfer the batter into a greased cake tin and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
