Wicked Witch Halloween Cupcakes

Enhance chocolate cupcakes with Bugles® Original for a spooky Halloween treat topped with witch hat cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup devil’s food cake mix (from 1 lb 2.25-oz box)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup yellow candy melts or coating wafers
  • 1/4 cup orange candy melts or coating wafers
  • 1/4 cup white candy melts or coating wafers
  • 3 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 24 Bugles® original flavor snacks
  • 24 Oreo chocolate creme sandwich cookies
  • 1 container (12 oz) whipped fluffy white ready-to-spread frosting
  • 1/2 teaspoon leaf green paste food color
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line 24 mini muffin cups with mini paper baking cups. In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cake mix, water, 3 tablespoons oil, and egg on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes. Fill each muffin cup with batter. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then transfer the muffins from the pans to cooling racks to cool completely.
  • Microwave each color of candy melts separately in 3 small microwavable bowls on Medium (50%) for 1 minute, stirring once, until fully melted. Stir 1 teaspoon of oil into each bowl until well combined.
  • 1. Dip two-thirds of the pointed end of each Bugle snack into orange coating and place on waxed paper. Freeze for 5 minutes until set. 2. Dip the pointed tips into white coating and freeze for 5 minutes until set. 3. Dip the wide ends into yellow coating. 4. Gently press the yellow end of each snack onto the center of each sandwich cookie and let them stand until set.
  • Add food color to frosting for a vibrant hue. Microwave frosting in a small bowl until pourable. Drizzle frosting over cupcakes and place a witch hat cookie on top of each cupcake.
