Kid-friendly crispy chicken drumsticks.
Ingredients:
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) tomato sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 24.40 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 1-2 drops red Tabasco pepper sauce (optional)
  • 8 (about 900g) small chicken drumsticks
  • 65g (1/4 cup) sour cream
  • 65g (1/4 cup) whole-egg mayonnaise
  • 40.00 ml fresh chives, coarsely chopped
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix together tomato sauce, garlic, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and oil. Add Tabasco to taste, if desired. Place drumsticks and sauce in a large glass or ceramic bowl, toss to coat, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Line a large baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top. Take the drumsticks out of the marinade, keeping the marinade in reserve, and then lay the drumsticks in a single layer on the wire rack.
  • Ask an adult to: Bake in the oven, basting with the saved marinade halfway through, until golden brown and fully cooked, about 40 minutes.
  • In a small serving bowl, mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and chives. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge until needed.
  • Arrange the drumsticks in individual serving bowls and enjoy with the chive dip.
