Simple graveyard brownies for a haunting treat using easy baking aisle ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 15 chocolate wafer cookies, coarsely crushed (from 9-oz package)
  • 1 tube (0.67 oz) Betty Crocker™ White Writing Gel
  • Halloween candy decorations, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. Prepare and bake the brownies according to the instructions on the box. Allow the brownies to cool completely on a wire rack for about 1 hour.
  • Top the decadent brownies with a generous sprinkle of roughly crushed 10 chocolate wafer cookies.
  • Carefully trim two opposite sides of each of the 5 chocolate wafer cookies to achieve tombstone shapes.
  • Decorate tombstones with white decorating gel.
  • Top the brownies with tombstone-shaped decorations, gently pressing them into the frosting. Enhance the presentation with assorted candy decorations. Keep covered lightly and store at room temperature.
