Homemade cheesy turkey taco pasta with a flavorful twist of garlic and soy sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 0.5 onion, diced
  • 1.5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 5 cups whole wheat rotini pasta
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar-Monterey Jack cheese blend
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and stir ground turkey, onion, soy sauce, and garlic until the turkey is fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Mix in taco seasoning.
  • Bring a generously salted large pot of water to a boil. Cook the rotini until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain.
  • After draining the rotini, return it to the pot over low heat. Stir in milk and butter until the butter melts completely, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the turkey mixture and mix well. Sprinkle cheese over the rotini and turkey, then cook and stir until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes.
