Simplify your Christmas feast with a flavorful 3-ingredient sticky orange and soy glazed ham.
Ingredients:
  • 8kg double smoked cooked leg ham
  • 165.00 gm orange marmalade, warmed
  • 65.63 gm dark soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan-forced) for an ideal baking environment.
  • With a small sharp knife, slice through the ham rind about 8cm from the shank. Use your thumb to separate the rind from the fat, peeling it back and removing it. Score the fat in a diamond pattern, being cautious not to cut too deeply. Finally, wrap the shank end in foil.
  • Mix together the marmalade and sauce in a small jug, then season with pepper to taste.
  • Arrange the ham on a greased wire rack in a roasting pan. Pour boiling water into the pan until it reaches 2cm high. Coat the ham with a third of the marmalade mix. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting with the remaining marmalade mix every 20 minutes until golden. Remove and discard shank foil. Serve.
