Australian-style sweet and tangy pork sausage rolls, a simple and delicious party snack with only 4 ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 500g pork mince
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) sweet and sour sauce, plus extra to serve
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. Lightly oil 2 baking trays. In a large mixing bowl, combine pork mince with sweet and sour sauce. Season with salt and black pepper, then mix thoroughly with your hands. Shape into 18 slightly heaped tablespoon-sized balls.
  • Cut each sheet of pastry into 9 squares. Shape the mince balls into slightly elongated sausage shapes. Place the mince across the edge closest to you, brush the far edge with a little beaten egg, and roll up the pastry to enclose the mince, allowing it to slightly protrude from the ends.
  • Lay the sausage rolls on baking trays, ensuring they have room to brown evenly. Brush the pastry with egg wash and make decorative cuts on the top using a sharp knife.
  • Bake until golden brown, approximately 20 minutes. Allow to cool briefly, then enjoy with additional sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
