Decadent chocolate chip cookies with a moist twist from creamy sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.66666698455811 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter together in the microwave or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  • Whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla until pale in a medium bowl. Fold in the chocolate mixture until fully combined. Alternate adding sifted ingredients and sour cream, then fold in chocolate chips. Spoon rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool entirely. Store in an airtight container.
