Deliciously chewy chocolate chip cookies made with pantry staples and rich Mexican vanilla extract for a unique and creamy twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter flavored shortening
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease 2 cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl, mix butter-flavored shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, gently mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly incorporate this mixture into the creamed mixture.
  • Incorporate chocolate chips gently until evenly mixed.
  • Scoop rounded spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheets.
