Adobo lime steak tacos with salsa verde and onions - a zesty, flavor-packed delight!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound flat iron steak, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons adobo seasoning
  • 2 limes, cut into wedges, divided
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 (8 ounce) package small soft tortillas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 (7 ounce) can salsa verde
Instructions:
  • Coat the steak generously with adobo seasoning. Drizzle the juice from half a lime over the steak and massage it with garlic. Transfer to a dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for that perfect bake.
  • In a sizzling hot ovenproof pan, sear the steak until a golden crust forms on both sides, approximately 5 minutes per side.
  • Cook the steak in the preheated oven until tender for around 30 minutes. Let the steak cool for about 15 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
  • Place the tortillas on a plate and cover with a damp paper towel before microwaving for about 1 minute until fluffy and warm.
  • Layer steak slices on a tortilla, add sliced onion and cilantro. Drizzle with remaining lime juice and spoon salsa verde. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
