Flavorful grilled Adobo steak with chipotle, cumin, and lime - ideal for your next BBQ!
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons adobo sauce, or to taste
  • 4 (8 ounce) beef sirloin steaks
Instructions:
  • Combine lime juice, garlic, oregano, and cumin in a small bowl, then mix in adobo peppers and adobo sauce.
  • Score steaks on both sides with a sharp knife, season with salt and pepper, and transfer to a glass baking dish. Coat steaks generously with adobo marinade, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to marinate thoroughly.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate before cooking.
  • Remove the steaks from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off, and dispose of the leftover marinade.
  • Grill the steaks on the preheated grill for 6 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for a medium doneness at 140°F (60°C) in the center.
