Make quick spiced apple fritters with caramel-cinnamon glaze using an air fryer in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 apple - peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon caramel extract (such as Watkins™)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C), then line the bottom with a parchment paper round and give it a quick spray of nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, milk, egg, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Stir until well incorporated.
  • Combine 2 tablespoons of sugar with cinnamon in a separate bowl and generously sprinkle over the apples. Gently incorporate the coated apples into the flour mixture until fully combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop to place fritter mixture onto the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  • Place fritters in the preheated air fryer and cook for 5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking until golden brown, about 5 more minutes.
  • Combine confectioners' sugar, milk, caramel extract, and cinnamon in a bowl. Drizzle the fritters on the cooling rack with the glaze.
