Crispy air fryer avocado fries with creamy interior, served with spicy ranch dip.
Ingredients:
  • 3 slightly under-ripe avocados
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, whisked
  • Nonstick spray for air fryer
  • Coarse salt, optional
  • Fresh lime juice, optional
  • For the dipping sauce:
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
Instructions:
  • Prepare the avocados: Halve them, remove the pits, and scoop out each half in one piece. Then, slice each half into 5 lengthwise slices.
  • Prepare the crispy coating and coat the avocados: Combine panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and black pepper in a bowl. Whisk eggs in another bowl. Dip avocado slices in egg, then generously coat with the panko mixture.
  • To make crispy avocado fries, generously coat the air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange a full avocado's worth (10 fries) in a single layer in the basket. Air fry at 350 ̊F for 3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Fry remaining batches. For an oven option, bake at 350 ̊F for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  • For a delightful touch, allow the fries to cool briefly. Sprinkle with salt and lime juice to taste, or enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce. To savor the best flavor and texture, only cook the amount of avocado fries you plan to indulge in.
